trade, and tax system that fosters private sector innovation. The cost of converting the automobile industry is estimated at nearly $85 billion. The federal aid; grants and bonds, that all of the presidential candidates promise does not cover enough of the expense. Lest not forget the current economic state of the American automobile manufacturer… As I said before, we all want more efficient cars. I truly believe the free market will yield great innovations in this sector. Hybrids and green cars are certainly the wave of the future. Research and development will drive cost down.
