GreenAuto had the opportunity to attend Media Day at the New York Auto Show today and it was quite a day. I attended the Auto Show a few years back and at that time there was little to no green marketing. However, things have changed, and they have changed for the better. Both Toyota and GM are pushing a number of technologies which included hybrid-electric and hydrogen fuel cell. Toyota also has a number of highly efficient gas vehicles. Honda also had the FCX Fuel Cell Vehicle on display but really seemed to push the 2009 Fit, which as it turns out is a pretty good looking vehicle. Mercedes is focusing on their Clean Diesel BlueTech technology, and Volkswagon is also on the clean diesel train. Obviously, there were a number of other manufacturers, all with their own ideas on fuel efficiency, which I will touch on in the coming days.
Also, check back for our full NY Auto Show report, coming soon.
Be well and stay green.
